Last weekend, Jeth and his family came over because it was Tito Bong’s birthday celebration. I’ve been meaning to blog but I got so caught up with my offline life as I had a lot of college work to do plus I work on the weekends. So let’s refresh what I’ve done during the last week as I know some of you have missed me (ang kapal).
April 03 - College started. I pretty much skived most of the day because I just could’t be bothered to go back to college yet and I had a coursework to finish that was due in that day. I procrastinated so much that I ended up doing it on the last minute. That day, I only attended my last lesson. And my excuse was that I had allergy attacks during the day. This went on ’til Friday where I only attended my last lesson again because I was too tired to go to college. My stupid Key Skills Communications teacher was being annoying and sent a message to my tutor as she always does whenever I’m not in her lesson. The only reason why I cannot be bothered to go into her lesson is that I don’t see the point in doing Communications as I have already got 2 unconditional offers in University.
April 05 & 06 - After work, met up with Michelle in town to catch up. I went shopping with her and ohmydais, I spent so much that day that I don’t want it to happen again (kuripot eh). I bought a hoodie from River Island, sleeveless shirt and bag from H&M and a lot of junk foods from the Filipino store. After that went straight to Tito Bong’s house with Michelle. Jeth and my family came a couple of minutes after we arrived. We stayed at Tito Bong’s house ’til 3 or 4 in the morning. When we got home it started snowing. It settled for a couple of hours. Took some pictures with Jeth in the snow. A few hours after, went to town with Jeth to return the bag I bought from H&M. The sales assistant forgot to take off the tag and I didn’t notice it was there because the alarm didn’t go off when we left the store. It only went off when we came back that day. Went to eat after H&M. It started to snow again but it didn’t settle. Then after we ate, we went to the Filipino store. Jeth bought some junk foods for him to take home to Leicester. I got some Mango flavoured Selecta ice cream. Yummeeh! I haven’t had one for years until that day. Oh and also, Jeth bought another Lil’ Appa look-a-like but in blue. We called it Appa. Haha! Jeth and his family stayed until 1:00 in the morning.
April 07 - College. Nothing much happened.
April 08 - College. Nothing much happened.
April 09 - College. Nothing much happened.
April 10 - College. Nothing much happened again!
April 11 - College. Nothing much happened again. Also missed a coursework deadline because of my stupid Communications teacher.
Had to go to work later in the evening. I absolutely hate it there.
April 12 - Worked double shift. They didn’t pay me the right amount of salary. Got annoyed but didn’t complain until . . .
April 13 - today when I called the resto to tell them about it. I found out that they sometimes reduce my hours because we spent some time eating (daw). Like hello?? First, we don’t do that all the time because we rarely get free food. And also even though we work in a restaurant, we don’t get discounts nor free food. Second, we only spend 10 minutes of eating then we go back to work. Third, it is not our damn fault that we sometimes spend 10 minutes on eating because they tell us to even if we really want to go home already. So when I called my boss (the Thai woman), she was saying stuff like “Come and get your salary for this week cos I don’t like people doing things like this and we treat them nice” (in her confusing thai accent and bad grammar). Doing things like this? WTF? This is money we are talking about woman. Even though it’s not much that came from hour’s worth of hard work. It’s not easy earning money from being a waitress. And I know she knows that. Also, like Jeth said, I did not expect them to be nice but I expected them to be fair which was not the case because they tried fooling me with my salary and also discrimation takes place in that restaurant. The first time I received my salary, they didn’t pay me the exact amount. The reason being; I wasn’t over 25. The Thai’s husband went on about how I’m not over 25 so I shouldn’t get the same amount of money as everyone else because I am not wise enough, I don’t have enough experience with people as I haven’t lived longer than anyone else in the restaurant daw. Hello??? Diba he’s generalising all younger people aren’t wise enough? WTF!
They want me to come in on Tuesday to talk but I don’t want to see their faces anymore so I’m going to ask Ate Che to get my salary from this week for me.
Mahirap na. Baka ano pa masabi ko. Illegal pa naman ginagawa nila kasi tax fraud.
So now I’m jobless BUT I’m happy.
